Jenna Fischer was best known for portraying Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) in the television show. The role she played brought her an Emmy nomination for best supporting Actress category. She also was awarded two SAG Awards, both for outstanding performances by the cast of a comedy.
She was born and raised in Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna was attracted by her mother's performance in church at the time she started her journey.
Fischer was a stage actress who was trained in her home country. She was a part of Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway production Reasons to be Happy. The Old Globe Theatre's world premiere, she played opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's comical comedy Meteor Shower.
Angela Kinsey from The Office (the cast mate of Fischer) as well as her real life best friend Angela Kinsey, who is from The Office, started a podcast in the month of October. It was titled Office Ladies. The show has since become extremely popular and has been a part of the Top Ten every single week. The debut year, the show received more than 200,000,000 downloads. The podcast premiered in January of 2021. Office Ladies won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Year award.
She's published two books, The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide in which she describes her experience in Hollywood as an actor in the field and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Great Friends who Were There, a memoir of the best relationship they shared and their experiences in The Office.
