Katherine Heigl has opened up about growing up living in "a white bubble." She also shares how this experience has affected the parenting style of her adoptees who are multi-racial. The actress "Firefly Lane" spoke to an interviewer that it didn't matter the color of her skin for her. After meeting her Korean-American adopted older sister she realized the difference in the way people were treated by her. If I inquired of Meg what she thought of her treatment when in public, with or without our parents, she said it was different. Meg replied "Oh I do, each and every moment!" That made me realize that I had been so naive," Heigl said to parents. She confessed that she was angry however she was also aware of the need to use this anger to help her daughters. Heigl has a son of 4 years with Josh Kelley, her husband for the past 13 years. The couple adopted their daughters Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide, 8, who is Black from South Korea in 2012.
