Julia Fiona Roberts is the daughter of Betty Lou Bredemus, and Walter Grady Roberts. She was born on the 28th of October 1967, in Atlanta. Julia Fona Roberts is the 4th generation Roberts that resided in Atlanta. The Robertses' father was interested in theater from a young stage. He acted on his Emory University campus in 1952 as well as in various productions that were staged around Atlanta. In 1953, he enlisted in the Air Force. While stationed in Biloxi in Mississippi, he acted in a show together with Betty Lou Bredemus. Eric Anthony was their first born. They got married in the year 1957. Walter attended Tulane University at New Orleans in the year 1957, after the couple left the Air Force of the United States. Walter was employed by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to be a part of the production team for the television show Bum Bum His Buddies, which aired in Decatur Georgia. Walter as well as Betty Lou produced a Saturday morning local television show for kids known as Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964, a project that they funded themselves. The Actors and Writers Workshop was created in the year 1964 and ran for six years. In 1965, they welcomed two new children: Lelisa Billingsley and Julia Billingsley.
